A note from Inky: This Foreword is the introduction to a book by Bobik Galo of Gann, which documents some of the events of the War of Peace, as told by those who lived it. More Fragments will be posted going forward.
The Fragments
Of the War of Peace
Vol. 1
By Bobik Galo
Foreword
My name is Bobik Galo, though I have gone by other names: The Chronicler, Wanderer, The Liar of Gann, and others none now living in this world have spoken. Some say I don’t exist.
I am a traveler.
In my travels, I have done my best to gather bits of knowledge, pieces of our history. I have sought to learn and am attempting to share what I’ve learned. Here, I have tried, to the best of my ability*, to put those fragments together in a somewhat chronological order that tells the story of the Gannan “Peaceful” Revolution.
Most of these fragments do not belong to the Great and the Known. They are a secret history. The history of the people.
Some of the faults may belong to me. I am a person and can make mistakes. But I’ll be honest, most of the faults probably belong to others. People are biased, unreliable, and lack the integrity and strength necessary to give the world an honest look, especially when they are living in the middle of difficult times, which the Gannan Revolution most certainly was. People have small perspectives on big things.
People are liars**.
Anyway, please read on.
* I’ll be honest, I was occasionally tired, lazy, grumpy, and/or drunk.
** They lie to others and, perhaps even more frequently, to themselves.
